MUZ started during one of the hardest stretches of my life.
I was running a real estate company in Kuwait when a close friend was diagnosed with cancer. He needed someone with him during treatment, so I went with him to London. For months, our days were quiet — cooking at home, short walks, exercise. The kind of slow time that forces you to think about what you actually want to do next.
One morning while clearing my inbox, an email from an entrepreneurship newsletter caught my eye — something about selling on Amazon private label. I sent it to my friend: let's do this. We started a course together and got through the first part side-by-side. Then it shifted into product research, and that's the part that stayed with me.
When I came back to Kuwait, I quit my job and went all in.
Finding the right product.
I spent weeks looking for something I could actually compete on. Silicone kept pulling me in. I'd been around it for years and something about it felt right. I ran the validation work the course had taught us. Silicone body scrubbers passed.
Then the real work started. I dug into the market — best sellers, reviews, gaps. One complaint kept coming up across every top product: not enough foam.
Doing the actual work.
I realized that to be the best, you have to actually do the best. Most brands buy off-the-shelf molds. I didn't want to.
I hired a chemist from Yale to help me develop a custom silicone formula — that's where the avocado seed powder infusion came from, built into the material itself instead of coated on top. We worked on the shape together: the avocado-inspired form, the curved geometry, the long bristles.
We tested with real people — asking what they actually wanted, what they were tired of. The same answer kept coming back: not enough lather. So we designed for that. The carved curve and long bristles work together to trap soap and create richer foam, with less product.
Our Vision
"To build a premium lifestyle brand that takes everyday objects seriously — starting with personal care, expanding into a full ecosystem of products that quietly make daily life better."
What's next.
The scrubber is the start. Over time, MUZ will grow into a small, deliberate ecosystem of personal care products — each one solving a real problem, each one made with the same care.
Thank you for being here at the beginning.
